Meet Natalie! I’ve known this beautiful young lady for quite a few years now. She is also my pet sitter. Ha! Yes you read that right. When she first started babysitting for me she had just turned 13. Now she’s a freshman in high school. This past year has been so hard on all the kids – Natalie’s mom told me that she hasn’t stepped foot into her high school classroom – she does not even know what her high school looks like. It’s very Clear that they are struggling, but despite of all this she still shines!
We met in our beautiful Sammamish neighborhood for this session. Before becoming a photographer, I never thought that my very own neighborhood could be a portrait session spot. Guess I was wrong! Beauty is definitely everywhere.
This year I am starting to offer senior portrait sessions to my community in Sammamish, Issaquah and the surrounding areas. It’s funny that I used to think that I won’t be cool enough to connect with these high schoolers. I was so wrong. I actually really enjoyed getting to know them individually. No matter what their personality is, I find my way to connect with them.
Natalie also brought her dog Charlie – an absolute joy to have for our session!
