Throughout pregnancy and those first few years of parenthood, fitness tends to take a backseat. Our days are full of work, errands, reading stories, and playing games. We’re lucky if we get the chance to throw on Bluey and debrief for 8 minutes. When your schedule is already so full, squeezing in a workout sounds less than appealing. And while it might be hard to prioritize, exercise really does have a long list of benefits, from giving us that extra boost of energy to improving our mental health. If you’re looking for an easy way to get in a fun workout, I’d love to tell you about FIT4MOM in Eastside. This program combines engaging activities with a community atmosphere, so you’ll actually enjoy closing your rings every day!
FIT4MOM is a national chain that makes scheduling a regular workout as simple as possible. The program was founded by Lisa Druxman shortly after she entered into her own parenthood journey. Lisa had always had a passion for fitness, but she found herself in a familiar conundrum. She wanted to stay active, but she didn’t want to miss a moment of her son’s childhood. So, she decided she was going to switch things up and create a program that allowed her to bring her son along for her exercises. Since starting FIT4MOM, Lisa has been featured on national television shows demonstrating how parents can prioritize both their personal health as well as their family.
Today, the program operates out of 1,800 locations and has 1,700 instructors as well as 250 franchise owners. At every location, you’ll find a wide range of exercises that make it a breeze to combine family life with fitness. The classes start before your baby is born with prenatal classes. Once your baby arrives, you can start their trademark Stroller Sides that let you bring your little one along with you. You can also find classes that give you the ability to leave your child at home so you can connect with other parents. The workouts take place across the city, so you’re never too far away from a rewarding workout. You’re able to try out a class for free before you commit, so you can make sure FIT4MOM is the right place for you!
FIT4MOM Eastside provides an engaging prenatal fitness program that gives you the ability to build up your community long before your baby is born. Baby Well takes place over 6 weeks and has both in-person and virtual options. You’ll have weekly group classes where you’ll get together with other expecting parents and complete exercises that are designed to build up both your physical and emotional stamina so you feel ready for delivery!
Once you’re cleared to resume exercises following your baby’s birth, it’s time to check out FIT4MOM’s famous Eastside Stroller Strides. You’ll put your little ones in a stroller so you can bring them along and interact with them while exercising. These fun classes combine strength training, cardio, and core training. Over the course of 60 minutes, you’ll stretch, lift, and walk. All while playing with your child. Jogging strollers are not required. You just need a sturdy stroller with child straps to keep your little one safe. While you’re able to start out once your baby is comfortable in their stroller, the class invites you to continue participation long after your baby is making strides of their own!
If Stroller Strides moves a little too slow-paced for you, try out their Run Club +. The guided program takes place over 8 weeks and helps improve your running technique so you can get the time and/or distance you’re looking for. The classes have experienced coaches and detailed training plans. You can join together with other runners while you train for a 5K, a 10K, or a half marathon. You can bring along your stroller for these sessions.
Sometimes, you need the chance to get out and do things alone. FIT4MOM Eastside gives you plenty of options for that! You can get together with other parents for Body Ignite, an intensive program that’s going to give every muscle an equal opportunity to feel the burn. Body Boost is a full-body workout that combines strength training and cardio with meditation for a restorative workout. TRX (short for Total Resistance Exercises) is an hour-long course that uses suspension training to work out your whole body. The Body Well program lasts 8 weeks and lets you get together with other moms as you focus on all aspects of your wellness. This program gives you weekly workouts as well as nutritional guidance, recipes, and weekly challenges. The group setting adds an additional layer of accountability for an effective approach.
While FIT4MOM wants to give you a fun way to stay active, they also want to help you build up your community. On top of their fitness classes, the center hosts regular events that let you socialize without breaking a sweat. They have regular Mom’s Night Outs that let you grab a beer and a slice of pizza while you kick back and relax without your child. They also give you the opportunity to bring along your kiddo for group family events. Your child will listen to stories and make crafts while you get to hang out with your friends. Outside of their group activities, the center hosts workshops such as a Pelvic Floor Workshop where you’ll learn about the signs and symptoms of pelvic dysfunction and how you can treat it for a more comfortable workout.
If you’re looking for a unique way to stay active, check out FIT4MOM in Eastside. This amazing program exists to give you a workout that fits your busy schedule!
From one busy mom to another, I know what it’s like to have to balance a thousand things at one time.
